Designed and directed by Of One Kind, Andrea Pons' site needed to do more than list her work — it needed to let people feel it right away. Built in Squarespace, the site got some extra fun baked in: I came on as the developer to bring in playful, custom touches that go beyond what Squarespace does out of the box, while keeping the whole thing easy for Andrea to run herself.
The Result
The goal was letting people see the work immediately, without extra clicks getting in the way. Hovering over a project swaps the cursor into a play icon, and clicking pops the video right up — a small interaction not native to Squarespace, but achievable with a bit of custom code layered on top. That's the balance we were after: a site with personality: a menu with its own charm, hover animations that make images pop — built on a platform that's still effortless for Andrea to maintain, since nothing beats Squarespace for ease of use.
