Hello World Studio has a way of making brand work feel alive: never generic, always a little unexpected. For IDST, a boutique interior design studio in Dubai, they brought that same sensibility to a site that needed to feel as considered as the spaces IDST designs. I stepped in as the developer, translating their design into a fully custom Squarespace build: polished on the front end, effortless for the team to run day to day.
The Result
Getting the details right meant going beyond Squarespace's defaults. The menu carries a hand-illustrated touch that sets the tone from the first click, and a horizontal scroll section shifts color as you move through it, giving the homepage a sense of motion instead of a static scroll. The Gallery page went past what native Squarespace summary blocks can do. Instead of just a thumbnail, each item pulls in a second hover-reveal image sourced straight from inside its destination link, so browsing feels richer without any extra manual uploads on the backend. Every piece was built to feel intentional: minimal on the surface, but with real craft underneath.
